How to Play Keg Ball

Keg ball is the incredibly fun game that combines the game of kickball with consuming beer. Because alcohol is involved, it is important to remember drinking limits. Make sure that everyone who shows up to play today makes it back to play again another time.
First: Locate a playing area
The first step of playing keg ball is to find a suitable playing area. Somewhere that is flat, with lots of grass, is perfect. If the area is in a public space, make sure that it is somewhat secluded and that alcohol is allowed.
Second: Set up the playing field
The next step is to set up the field. Bases are 60 feet apart, and the keg itself is used as second base.
Third: Divide up the teams
After the field is set up and ready to go, the next step is to pick teams and decide who kicks first. Team captains that alternate picks is the most common way to choose teams. In keg ball, drinking skills are just as important as athletic ability.
Fourth: Play!
Now that the field and teams are both ready to go, it is finally time to play. The rules are very simple. Normal kickball rules apply with the exception of a few minor differences. Whenever a baserunner reaches second base (the keg), the runner must consume a cup of beer before he or she can move on to third base. Unlike normal kickball, more than one runner can stay on second base, as long as they are all drinking. The game ends when the keg is emptied, and the team with the highest number of runs scored wins.
